That's amazing buddy! Sorry to hear about Kathy, she will be in our prayers! We will miss yiu at the pizza oven, Looking forward to seeing ya in a few days!
For anyone who has not been at this GTG here are the most simple directions that I can explain. Blair County Game Fish and Forestry 301 Riggles Gap Sportsmen Rd, Altoona, PA 16601 (814) 942-8522 You will get off at the Pinecroft exit (the exit between Bellwood and Altoona exits). Go through straight through the stop light till you hit the stop sign at the TEE. Turn left. You will go around the bend and make the next right hand turn, I will have a GTG sign there (if you pass the fire hall you went to far). Stay on that road till you come to the next stop sign, go straight (I will have a GTG sign there). Stay on that road till you see the next GTG sign and turn right back the shale road ( it will be right under the Blair County Game Fish and Forestry sign). For those of you that are bringing campers you will turn left off of the shale road and that will take you up to the back side of the trap range where the GTG site is. Please check in at the lodge when you arrive and let them know that you are there for the GTG. The caretakers are a young couple their names are Rick and Sarah Merrits.
I'd anyone gets in early (Thursday evening) shoot me a message. I'll prolly have a fire in the back yard tomorrow evening for any early birds that wanna relax and chew the fat (and have a few beers). I'm literally 3-4 miles from the club.
Any where to park the camper? I was planning on coming Friday. But if there's a place to park camper I'll head out tomorrow
Up at the club there's plenty of room. I don't have any room here at the house for campers but the club is only 3-4 miles away. So you're welcome to come early!
That's what they said. He said there's a couple of people coming in today from that state up north. I plan on getting there early evening 5:30-600ish. GPS SAID 3hrs 45 minutes but I have the camper so it's a bit longer
Message me I'll give you directions to my place so you can come and chill out later this evening after you drop your camper. I won't be home until 6ish so that'll give you time to set up. Looking forward to the weekend buddy!
Dan said he wants to be there by 8 tomorrow i should be there by 9ish. Can't wait to make some noise.
I double checked with Rick about people setting up campers today on the trap range. The trap range is open and ready for campers. People towing campers turn left at the sign before you cross the bridge. The gates should be open but if are closed you can open them there is no lock on the gates. Please make sure that everyone checks in at the lodge after arrive. Also the club bought extra food so they will also be provided a smaller spread for lunch on Friday for the early birds.
