Is better than no Beech. First Beech I’ve cut in a long time. Felled 12 today. Lots of Red Maple with a small Beech and a nice Cherry. Gotta go back to collect the wood.
Have several I need to cut this summer from my shooting lanes at the deer camp. All about that size as well. Good score
That's sum nice firewood. Those look nice and healthy too. Most of the beech I see around here are withering from beech leaf disease.
I’ve been splitting a bunch of knotty and wavy limb wood recently, so I’m looking forward to mowing through some straight Cherry and Red Maple. l’ll go back for 1-2 more loads.
Are you a "snob" when it comes to choosing wood for inventory? I try to avoid gnarly stuff. Quality of split my main criteria regardless of species.
I rarely get any straight cherry...even if it looks perfect, the grain usually has a twist, and will split that way.
