Yes, but not the one you are thinking of, plywood is still darn expensive…

 

I fear that gas chainsaws are falling victim to the environmental crowd. I noticed that gas chainsaws, especially in the consumer group are becoming less advertised, at least up here. They seem to be getting a little scarce in department/building stores, even the Stihl and Husqvarna seasonal flyers only list a couple gas chainsaws (well probably like 4 or 5 but certainly less than they used to) but in sharp contrast, gobs of battery powered equipment - saws leaf blowers, trimmers etc. At this rate, in a few years, I may be able to sell my 455 Rancher for a thousand bucks or so.

 

Finally got the 32" bar on the G288 and worked on the big Maple out back. Ran 4 tanks of gas through the G288, 2 tanks through the 357 and one tank through the MS250.

Not sure how some of those chips are wider than the chain??? That was the first cut on a freshly square filed chain.

Tons of good firestarter material laying there. You just need some wax.

 

Starting to get on with this one better now. I consider myself to be a finesse cutter. This one likes to be ran hard.

Cut a tree in our yard Saturday. MS461 with 32"bar.
Cut the stump this morning
Glad it's gone...

 

It didn’t take long to touch up the full skip chain after cutting 3 logs. I brushed the logs prior to cutting, but I still saw some sparks. You can’t get all the debris out of deep furrowed bark.
FYI it’s got a fairly new x cut chain and I didn’t have to tighten it As I was pulling it around to sharpen I was thinking it’s a tad tighter than I like to run a chain.

 

Nice setup there, everything easy to get to. Love the collection of saws!

 

Cut down a dead pine this morning. Good kindlin. MS251 & XS362.

 

Since you have a 371xp have you had a chance to run a 572xp ?
If you did did you really notice a difference between the two saws
