I usually get 3 or 4 loads a year, depending on what I have open for drying/storage. This time of year the trailer may sit there for a week or two, depending on if they're set up and cutting hard wood or soft wood when I drop it off. I usually specify I want hardwood, unless I'm getting a load for cooking syrup, then I'll get softwood. If you drop it off in the late fall or winter (which I don't) it could sit there for a couple months at a time (LOTS of people go right from the trailer to their stove..).

With price increases like that, I don 't know how you'll afford to keep heating your house! :)

That time of year again. Hopefully the price didn’t go up..:) Not many trailers there now that it has warmed up. Probably only get/need a couple loads this year.

I pay $20-25 for a pickup load depending on which pallet mill I go to, which is about 1/3 -1/2 cord per, so you are getting a deal!

I'd buy several years worth, stock up, lol. That's hard to beat.

I've got a couple years worth ahead. I should make another 'bin' or two for even more though.

I pass by a small mill going to work. I wish they had some cutoffs like that.

Cut offs make for great firewood. They dry quickly and fit easily into any burning device. Building pallet binds for storage is the way to go. I have found a good market for those with smokers, solo stoves and small wood stoves. I get my cut offs for free from my logger. He burns them in a big mountain since he doesn’t have a market for them.
