I am wondering what steps are needed to go from the pic in post 74 to the pic in post 100? My woodworking tool of choice is a chainsaw so doing any kind of work shown is totally out of the question. I may not be the only one who is lacking in woodworking skills.
That's a great piece of art, John. You, sir, are a master craftsman. Excellent job. It would be an honor to work with you on a project like that.
I was going over plans for the gtg today with the Mrs. When I found a major error in my plans. Its not next weekend. I'll still be there but for months I'd been thinking and planning for the first weekend of June...
Very nice work there 41FanForLife Edit.. You you use a radial arm saw, or table saw with a jig? Love how that turned out.
I have a sliding Excalibur table on my Delta Unisaw. Once the blank was glued up i cut one end off at 30° with my sliding table. Then just cut 2" strips using the fence. Then glue back together and flip over every other strip.
Looks like I will be absent from Hawg Days this year. Doesn't look like my work schedule is going to line up with being able to go away that weekend.
Now that I know that you don't know me, I am not even gonna try to make it! Lol I will say that I would love to win the cutting board or knife though!!
I wondered how long it would take for you to both catch on to my miss naming on my reply! I did it on purpose.
I was texting with Steve this afternoon. He said that him and I should just trade prizes and get that out of the way early. Then everyone else can fight over everything else. LOL.
We wouldn't do that but i did tell him he was a genius. I already have one of his knives. I would gladly buy more from him. And if he doesn't win the cutting board maybe Santa will bring him one for Christmas. LOL
