I too hold it in high regard. All planted in either spring of 09’ or 10’. Amazing how much differently they have grown depending on where they were planted. By pole barn is lower with more top soil. North of house is high and sandy/gravel. Neighbors to the north are super good neighbors! More like family, so it works out that those trees have grown much slower.
Ended up with the Bad Boy ZT Elite. Thanks for all the input from the members. It was very helpful in making my decision. Kawasaki 23 horse. 7 gauge steel deck construction. Zt 3100 hydros. Probably more than I need, but should last me a very long time! Had kind of talked myself into the Avenger, which is the model below it, but this model seemed considerable larger framed and beefy. For the additional $800 or so, I sprung for the elite.
Sweet! You weren't messin around, were you?! Looks like a real bad boy! Edit: Holy cow they have a lot of accessories available for those! And this is a nice feature of their website! Mr. Know-It-All Service & Troubleshooting Video Gallery | Bad Boy Mowers
Oh yeah! Nothing like the smell of new plastics and rubbers off gassing. Gonna do any deck coatings? So I wonder why some have ROPS and some don't?
Educate me on the deck coatings. Any recommendations? Barely fit it on the trailer and scratched the deck backing it off. Got that out of the way real quick
I dunno much about them. Maybe some other members can chime in. I've never had a new deck to try any on and don't think there is any point applying to what I have (I'm too lazy to properly prepare it from current condition). I recall some non-stick type stuff. I'm curious like you.
They make a ceramic coating that's supposed to work good. Only thing is that it isn't cheap and if it's cheap its not the right stuff.
