Sorry other than that I really like my job. If I would have paid attention in my younger life I would have picked something easier.
Dam dude what is wrong with people these days I should say the younger generation I always say when talking to people our age we are a dying breed It’s cool though you are the top guy Have a safe day at work tomorrow
Got the dozer done and spent some time cleaning up the shop then had an easy service call this afternoon. Hose blew and had to make one.
Finished the wall framing and set the bottom course of plywood yesterday which is pressure treated. Most of the wall sheathing and Tyvek worked on today. 80+* degrees, full sun and the blood still thick slowed me down a bit. -+ May start setting rafters tomorrow but heavy rain in the morning so not sure what if anything will get done.
Service and ac. The compressor craped out so it's getting one along with a condenser and a expansion valve
Well I got the ac tore all apart then the boss tells me it's still under warranty. I take care of all maintenance and I called the dealer and they told me it's not warranty but I just put it all back together and done like a good boy. It's fixing to be an expensive bill.
Sure don't miss that kinda run around. I'll bet once the boss learns it's not under warranty, it'll become your new "fire drill".
I tried to tell him, also said don't come crying to me when it's not warranted. It's really not a bad place to work just sometimes they make bad choices. I'm sure some of them can say the same for me.
The place I work at sees A/C as optional. I have removed many compressors and put on shorter belts. I hate doing it but it’s not my equipment/truck so…
Day and a half later and got most of the rafters set. Starting to close in. Ill hopefully get some plywood on the roof and fascia done tomorrow, but rain forecasted for the morning. Any CT members need any "doorstops" ie kerf keepers as I call them? Pocket sized!
I haven't paid much attention to this thread considering I can't post pictures from inside my own job. I didn't realize you were still doing large-ish remodel jobs. Now I see why your hoarding has been throttled back as of late Seriously though, that's coming out great and I'll bet the customer will be very pleased to make use of it this summer.
I don't do much large scale work. Most of the time if its a big job I'm helping my contractor friend who is your age. Most of my work is small repairs, BS jobs etc. The last "big" job I did was that deck you came to PU the 2x6's. Home owner has been wanting to do this for a couple years. His father is where you met me for that elm.
What can you do take it apart call the dealership for warranty information tell your boss Boss says put it back together It’s just the way it goes sometimes
