Yes, we had a hairy non poison ivy vine at our previous house. The one in the pic though just screamed poison ivy to me, not sure if it is. I saw one the other day while turkey hunting that was bigger than my forearm, so it was fresh in my mind. Don't usually see them quite that big here.
Thats a biggun for sure. Gonna keep you busy for some time. Be sure to keep us posted on your progress. My holy grail score here in CT. Welcome to the FHC WSN Great to have you
Welcome aboard. Btw, having learned from experience, it’s always a good idea to notch a tree because the notch provides the hinge, and the hinge helps control the tree as it falls to the ground. With no hinge you are much more likely to lose control and direction…which can make for a hairy situation, twisting, turning, and splitting in who knows what direction and putting your body at higher risk.
Welcome to the club, lots of great folks sharing knowledge and humor. That is a great score, I'm over those pictures. Very nice, glad it's on the ground safely, you and the saw are OK. Share a few more when you can.
