True! That’s a random Doug Fir round that I also grabbed. I got a few of them. They tend to grow with those target looking growth rings around here for some reason.
Heck yeah! Mine is my firewood mover, road/driveway plow and local transportation - among other things. It works hard. It’s been good to me. It’s the TRV, so it’s a little longer and has a detachable seat that I can add to it for a second rider. I leave the silly windshield on because it does help with the snow, plus it has attached cup holders. Let’s be honest, the cup holders are why I leave it on.
Oh yeah, for sure. Some of the high mountain passes get snow into July. Wolf Creek pass routinely gets 35-50 FEET of snow every winter. They use front end loaders and massive tractor mounted snow blowers to clear paths for summer traffic. I actually snowboarded at Arapahoe Basin on July 4th a few years ago.
I noticed that bullseye round and wondered if it's common, that is super cool. Nice ATV for sure. Ah, Colorado, worked in Vail for six months during a younglife crisis in 1974. Am curious, have you had decent snow amounts the past few years? You are at 9,000 feet, that's up there; did it take you awhile to adjust or no problem? Thanks for pics, looks nice.
That's a cool Pic. We have the detachable seat as well, but you sit so high on it, that it just seems unsafe. We just snuggle up when double riding...the stretched out wheelbase like you have is perfect.
Yeah, we’ve always gotten decent snow fall here. Some years are certainly drier than others. At my house this last March, we had a 43” 24 hour storm. As far as the altitude goes. I was raised in Evergreen. So I’ve always been accustomed to the altitude. Never had a problem with it.
Went over Wolf Creek Pass a couple summers ago. Talked to 2 motorcycle riders who were saying how cold it was even in early September!
