A little after work cherry

    Found this cherry last weekend and took what I could get without a saw. Went back tonight and cut some, also got a nice ash round. The chain got dulled cutting through the dirt in the rotted area so I touched up the chain on my tailgate.

    Yeah I've encountered the same with cherry and cutting "compost" inside trees. Frozen "dirt" in black locust is the worst.:picard:

    sure does. Kinda hit or miss with BL. Id say one in three ways rot in the base of the trunk. Occasional voids with the same too. Dead BL is hard enough on chains let alone the compost. You ever cut any John?
