Seeing if there are any Case fans. My Dad has a 1958 312b that we are trying to put a value on. Haven't started it, but little doubt that it won't run fine as put a lot of work into it a few years ago.
I sold a Case 311B with loader, last spring. Not much interest around here. It’s not really big enough for farm work, and homeowners want the new, smaller framed 4wd models. I was happy getting $3500 for it to get it off the property.
Thanks all. Looks like not many of these were made but there is some collector interest so have to see. My dad passed away last month and we are just working through some of his tractors, recreational toys, and vehicles to clear them out for mom. Only 312 I have seen they want $1500 and it looked like crap with tons of work ahead of it.
We just sold a 1970 Case 470 gas at work last year, it was in pretty decent shape and ran good, a local guy bought it for his collection, somewhere around $3k IIRC TractorData.com J.I. Case 470 tractor information
If my old boss was still alive he would be all over that! He had a handful of old case tractors that he liked messing with and fixing up.
Thanks everyone, he was the greatest and a major reason why I haven't been on here much lately. Will be going back up this weekend, and I think we will see about starting it up, if we can find the key. If we do, may take it out to his pole building on "the ranch" so mom doesn't have to look at it. We have several people who are interested in the "shop" property, so mom wants it cleaned out. Got to keep mom happy you know. Was able to get this 2006 Grand Caravan out, something that's been in storage for too long, with 40,000 miles on it. Cleaned it up and took it to Columbus for my brother to finish a few things on it. Then have this Allis 615 to start up and run out to the ranch as well.
My old Case tractor has a key common to Cub Cadet mower. It’s an ignition switch, not a starter switch.
Well, brother called and said the Case is sold, $6,000, so 1 down and a bunch to go. Guy said only 48 ever built so he may have gotten a deal.
FYI: Built between 1956 and 1958 at a cost of $3500 and there were 249 built. I think you made out fine. Older tractors like that are selling a little cheaper than usual. Everybody is wanting modern conveniences on what they buy now.
