I stop and chat with the tree service companies when I see them working. It has led to a few dumps of wood of varying quality. I got a call from one of the guys that they were going to be working in my area and wondered if I wanted some white oak. I said sure, not sure what to expect. Came home to 8 logs. The smallest around 12 inches in diameter. Now I just have to get it cut up and around to the wood pile before the neighbors start complaining!

Nice score. If he complained to me, I'd ask if his garage door looks worse.

I'd have no problem accepting a delivery like that.

    Nice score!

    Nice score.

On the way in to work I saw a tree service taking down a nice size birch tree. It was being fed right into the chipper. I felt a little ill seeing it.

I definitely wouldn’t mind that in the driveway

No kids yelling at each other, the youngest has been out of the nest for a couple years, got married last August

First nice job getting the logs
Second neighbors are just something we deal with if we don’t live out in the country

    Better save this pic,
And get a Good Laugh while you can,
This is a Very Rare Occurrence

    Thanks for all the Congrats,
    Both were Very Happy occasions,
Looking forward to having a New Grandson,
Here three Brothers all have kids, but are running 4/1 in Favor of Granddaughters. One is on the other side of the Country, and the others are still almost 2 hours away.

Fortunately, the Daughter is about a half hour away, and comes by regularly

Yep, My little GMC Sonoma has had the gaskets replaced a few times without any luck getting the leak to stop. The mechanic said that it is slow enough that they just check it when they change the oil and top it off as needed. I need to replace it with something 4 doors so that I can scrounge firewood (that is the main reason I have the truck) with the baby. I am allowed to put him in the front seat since I can turn the airbag off, but I would rather not if I have to take anything bigger than the town streets.

I have gotten a few piles from different guys, but aside from some black walnut that I gave to a friend with a portable sawmill (I need to get my own), this is the nicest pile. The other piles have been good, but it is hard to convince them that yes, I do want the big logs not just bonfire wood.

I sort of knew their door was not in great shape, but didn't even notice it in the picture!

Oops, just lost some GrandPaw points, I forgot to include the GrandDogter, the Daughter’s “First Kid”

Willow Grace, ready to go wood cutting, she Loves ❤️ GrandPaw’s Big Red Truck

I did make a Mistake when I let Emmy bring Willow home, I forgot to have her sign a PrePuptial agreement, somewhere the kid got the idea that when she moved out, she got to take Her dog with her

But how can you say No, to this?
