I was finally was able to time my early spring trip to the cabin with some good weather for firewood and other misc chores. Usually there is still a lot of snow in the woods through much of April. The big deep lakes are still locked with ice, but our beaver pond was open the streams are flowing.

It was cold with a dusting of snow overnight into Saturday morning, but it turned out the be nice day. I got some things in the garden squared away, got our trails cleared and in the course of that work picked up a couple loads of birch, black ash, poplar, and spruce. Lots of grouse drumming and moving around, and the deer that we have left had a good winter with very little snow this past winter.

I love it too. It is a good one for steelhead down by Lake Superior, and brook trout up inland to its headwaters.

She’s a good one! Filled her up with some maple and birch and headed down the highway 280 miles enjoying the views, sounds from the engine afforded by a rust perforated muffler, and smooth ride! Love the 4.7L Toyota/Lexus 2UZ FE.

Nice! I have a custom resonator delete to a Banks Monster cat back exhaust. It screams at 1/2-wot. The Spectre intake gives lots of intake growl too. Won’t be long I’ll be doing headers. I have a slight right side manifold tic. :(

A pile of 2 year seasoned oak to stack and cover, and a couple Toyota/Lexus 4.7s.
