Fired up old reliable my 029. Sharp chain and did a great job. Cut everything except the hinge and the trigger, placed a couple wedges, waited for a lull in the wind, cut the trigger and nothing, three or four hits to the wedges and over she went. Wouldn’t want to cut anything larger than this without my 461 or the 066
I owned a 290 (later version of an 029) and cut a lot of wood with it. Ran only a 16" bar. Once my 460 came along it was a game changer. Sold it a few years ago and kinda miss it.
Yep it’s a great saw, it’s still my go to saw for reliability. I moved a couple years ago and did not expect to need my 066 so haven’t had it rebuilt yet. But man that thing is fun to run!!!
