A bit more rain today but heading for the low 60's. Driveway is drying up nice; I've been putting the gravel back into place. :picard:

Neighbors that didn't plow the last storm still have snow and a mess in their driveways.

44 heading to the mid 60s. I ended up lighting a very small fire with some skinny sugar maple splits left over from maple syrup season. It should be burned up before too long.

Though temps are warming up, our house has been cool. Guess that's expected living in stone. Fire last night warmed the house up a little too much. :emb:

Guess it was the oak uglies and shorts.

    61* no fire

Wood furnace fire feels good this morning! Tonight and 5 more nights this month are predicted for below freezing temps.

I just lit a fire. 67 in the house is not for me, although it might feel good in July or August.

Good sleeping temps in the 60's. For sitting around the house, seems you can feel the coolness of the upper 60's though.

Oppressive cloud cover and rain is back. Probably light a fire this evening as the lack of sun has temps falling. Mid 50's here.

46/63 Just lit chestnut oak splits with a wax starter. Windy as heck here. Guess I’ll wait it out to take down the BL tree.

45 with on again, off again drizzle. Just lit a few thin sugar maple splits to beat back the chill.

I used to like the cold but now those 60 or 70 degree days are very welcome. I still don't like those days when it gets much above 80 though.

Got up to 77 today, no fire. 35/40 mph winds last night and today. Farmer called to say he found some trees over in the hayfield if we get any dry weather. More rain showing this week, not sure I want to bring more home so I'll scope it out and may either cut it out of the field and pile it or haul it to a widow lady. IF it dries up.
