Anybody own and use one? I own several batteries and have considered buying one. Basically I would use it at storage bucking smalls/limb wood. Any input appreciated FHC.

I got the hatchet version. Really like it for trimming in situations where you just need to cut a piece here and there. No starting a gas saw each time.

It will cut a 6" piece, although a little slowly compared to gas.

My only gripe, and i think this is true of a lot of small battery saws, is the slow chain speed. When cutting 1/4" diameter stuff it tends to whip it back on you
    due to slow chain speed.

All in though it's just too handy not to have.

I’ve had one for a couple years or so. Really like it for small stuff or cuts at the house. No noise and quick to just grab. Gotta remember bar oil but it’s a decent saw when caught on sale.
It’s been at the camp I work at since last fall and lives on the side by side for a quick cleanup

I carry one in my work truck and it has come in handy a few times clearing trees across remote access roads. I carry it in a toolbox with bar oil, charger, file etc. I had to modify the toolbox tray by cutting out the middle and fusing the two ends to fit. Nice not having to carry, or smell fuel for the occasional use. I used it just last week to take down and cut up a couple small 6" trees in a friends yard in town where he didn't want to make a lot of noise. One 20V did it all. Funny as this is the only Dewalt tool I own. I'm a Milwaukee guy but couldn't justify the price of their saw.

Nice modification on the tool box. What voltage battery do you use?

The guy I work with sometimes is big on Milwaukee. I own several Dewalt tools and batteries so prefer to stick with one brand.

It's the battery that came with the kit so I think it's a 5.0 Ahr battery. If you're a Dewalt guy, you should never run out of juice.

well I have had one for several years. As stated above it is OK for what it is. Chain speed a little slow. I got mine "free" when I bought a battery trimmer. Convienant definitely, couple limbs down grab it and go. If you already have batteries and such it is the way to go.

I think that came out within the last year of two. The one I'm looking into is an older model. Comes with 14" bar. I own the 20v pole saw. That's works well for what it is.
