Holy cow! Looking at that reminds me that my roof dumped in a big way. Normally it just drops a bit at a time, and it goes straight down. I heard and felt the huge rumble and the snow crashed down (hmm, now that I think of it, did that happen while the earthquake was going on - maybe). Anyway, at the end of the day when I went to feed the birds again, I noticed that it got enough speed going that instead of straight down, it vaulted 5-6 feet.

55 +/- hours on generator so far.
I'm very happy that I went with a diesel generator. Lots of neighbors are running low on propane. My tank still has about 100 gallons in it or roughly 180-200 more hours of run time. 20240404_082533.jpg
    Somehow we have internet. :D

Sounds like a friend I know in the Newfield area. He's running a propane fired Generac. Dedicated tank. He can go 6 days before becoming concerned.

When I got home, I drove by the gauge, there was just under an inch in there, that was around 5:15ish... Had been monsooning since. Finally slacked off enough to take the dog out before bed, around 10:20 or so. The top measurement line on my gauge is 5.5 inches, the water is over that and about 1/2 inch from overflowing. Radar shows it finally exiting. I will try to get an idea of our total in the am...well at least what I can measure with what's in the gauge.

An outbreak of severe weather here today. Real green energy met “alleged “
green energy. Natural green energy wins & improves the landscape in meantime.

Well, that's something you don't see every day...when my neck of the woods has the highest TORCON rating in the country.

What a coincidence as I literally was just looking at that map as the weather channel was talking about it.
Stay safe and hopefully nothing more than some rain hits your area.

Not really expecting anything (only get 1-2 tornadoes a year in NH on average) but you never know. I have so many dead trees around my area from the 21-22 caterpillar apocalypse that even significant winds could make life interesting. Regardless, I'll have the generator, chainsaws, and the tractor (with grapple) fueled and ready just in case. When you only have one road through the mountain pass as your egress route, you have to keep some situational awareness. At least the power companies are taking this seriously as they have already brought in a lot of out-of-state line crews in preparation for power outages.
