I wanted to get more wood today, but it's too windy to do much of anything outside. 45+mph gusts

I figured it would be raining there too.

I've done a LOT of climbing in wind from 20mph constant to 55+ gusting, never fun!

had a small ish, 18" DBH 70ft tall oak on a job about 2 months ago, pushing with an SVL65 kubota and banging wedges for well over an hour but the wind wouldn't let up, had to tie the excavator to it and use both machines, the wedges were lifting the tree off the hinge wood!

not worth it to work in wind, especially if its just to go cut your own firewood! the weather isn't the greatest right now here in TN either

I get leary working under the trees when it's windy. I can't die so ironically as to be smashed by a windblown tree while I'm working up firewood. I just can't have it.

March is late in your area? Starting to get windy here with high wind warnings.

Mebbe mother nature will have more for you to cut up tomorrow?

Windy, and spitting hail. I went out long enough to take a load of splits to the boiler woodshed. Not enough to get through the cold spell.

needed parts for both saws . Got them Monday, but just don’t want to deal with mud wind and rain.

Glad I don't have work today, surprised I haven't been called out to any emergency jobs yet

It's been terrible here the past few days. I was cutting yesterday and finally quit because I couldn't get away from the saw dust and chips. I just loaded up what was cut and came home.

I always have wood to cut and bring home. Maybe the months got confused this year?

I'm a huge fan of trees already on the ground (95% of my firewood supply was acquired this way) With all of the dead trees around here something is always on the ground. Of course that makes me a very amateur feller, but I'm slowly improving as I gain experience. You won't catch me in the woods much on a windy day, dropping trees or regardless.

Cutting up good wood that’s already on the ground is the best
