It is mine, and it was a 30., $300.00. Fiber board was pretty flakey, and will need replaced, as well as some of the firebricks, secondaries looked great. pics as soon as I get it home.

The ceramic boards are $60.06 from Englander. Each.
Bricks are pretty inexpensive.

 

I saw this option for a few cents cheaper, and includes some gaskets, though they said the gaskets were just replaced. It can't hurt to have a back up.

Just got it home and the two of us unloaded it pretty easy (bricks and door removed.) Now for baby duty ... she just turned 14 days old.

Yeah, the kit is nice if you also plan to replace the gaskets.
Plan to paint it, or just clean it a bit?

It hasn't been used in over 2 years. The owners moved here from the Carolin's and took it out to put in their Ashley, as it can take a 25+" log. Score for me, even with having to get new fireboard.

I am hoping these are standard fire brick "splits", they are very cheap here at the local masonry outlet.

 

Check the firebrick dimensions, as they may not be the same.

 

TSC has fire brick.

 

Post some pics of the fireboard. Maybe it's not as bad as you think it is.

You have to cut it yourself and I think you can get three boards out of that sheet, so you end up with an extra, and you can cut the boards to fit tightly to avoid the gap that the factory boards leave. Shipping is crazy, but it still ends up cheaper.


Looks like the ash drawer has never been used, big surprise

I've got a spare pedestal sitting in my basement not doing anything if you need it, just holler.

 

Learned some lessons...

• Purchased a sheet of fiberboard and cut my own which was cheaper than buying them (and I have one as a back up now, and no gap)
  
• Firebricks are different, they are 4", not the standard 4.5" available locally
• The brick layout does NOT show that two of the firebricks have the edges knocked off to fit on the back row (happy they were not broke)
• Screws holding the burn tubes in were fragile lost one of two that needed to be removed, not horrid.

Install went pretty straight forward, I have an abundance of clearance to work with so that was no issue at all.

She is in and I am learning every time I fire it up. The first was somewhat comical as it was rather warm out so I had no draft whatsoever. I was sure the chimney was blocked. Now on any "warmer" start up, or if the house is cold I use a quick blast of newspaper before lighting the tinder bundle.
