Got a fire going this morning with cherry and some oak. First fire for several days (5 days maybe). Not much left in the wood shed. I need to pull the CAT and clean it, must be clogged.

28/64 The last few days is one of the things I love about March. The weather is unpredictable and is all over the place. 65 one day heavy frost 2 mornings later, rain one day, sun the next, then the "wintery mix" later in the week. It keeps life interesting!

I like the chocolate dipped strawberry, or whatever they are called now, but sick and tired of getting a cup of vanilla softserve, a few chocolate bits and basically no strawberries so they can kiss my ash. The price doesn't help their case.

40*f last night and headed for 68*. Doug Fir in the Country Stove and one anomalous chunk of white Oak from the shed. When the Oak is done the house will be thoroughly warm and the fire is done for the day!

It burns a long time. One of the best for overnight burns. 33 and I’m burning White Oak chunks that previously served as tarp weights. I’ve seen Poplars, Japanese Maples, Zelkovas and Cherries already leafed out
