    I just noticed no harness
When we use those at work we have to be harnessed in

Was taught, if something is gonna fall on the bucket, to squat low/wide and get your arms under the top bar up to your elbows, to hold yourself down, like doing a curl. Hopefully I'll never have to try it out.

Sure that might work if you even see it coming. Stuff happens unbelievably fast in tree work and typically we’re talking thousands of pound of kinetic force. I’ll stop mucking up the thread now though.

Got off Tuesday morning, friend about 5 miles from home had asked us about dropping a dead pine next to his small pond. When we got there, he showed us another tree he wanted down as well...and it was a nice bonus tree...
Plant app says Sand Post Oak...

    31074.jpeg
Got the trunk logs and 1 big limb, left the other limbs for his firepit 20240604_140049.jpg
Cut the stump high, so he wanted a seat cut facing the firepit.
I sat and thought about it... 30876.jpeg
Our friend, Shane, trying it out 30866.jpeg
Then we dropped the pine... 30991.jpeg
Headed thru the gate opening... 31012.jpeg
And got hung up on some smaller trees... 31020.jpeg
Slow and careful, pieced it down... 31022.jpeg 31028.jpeg
Finally rolled off tree, safely on the ground 31034.jpeg

Lady was needing someone to clean up a storm damage pine. She also had some beetle killed trees she decided to take down while we were there... 20241022_090620.jpg 20241022_090625.jpg
    Dead/dying trees... 20241022_090633.jpg 20241022_090715.jpg
1st load from the big pine 20241022_101511.jpg
We were able to drop the dead pine beside the driveway 20241022_105046.jpg
Got the dead pine and rest of big pine on 2nd load 20241022_111008.jpg
Found a few more with beetles in them, took them out too. 8 trees total for the job 20241022_124455.jpg
They had a place on a hill for us to dump debris 20241022_130220.jpg
    A few hours work...
