Had a late delivery today. Camera makes it appear light out until it gets really dark out.
Truckload of Black Locust. Well aged so the bark is coming off. Just the way I like it.
Should have another load and a half coming tomorrow.
What’s better than truckloads of black locust? Free truckloads of black locust. :)

I’ve heard that stuff is terrible and stinky when lit.
Maybe I should come liberate it from you so you don’t suffer a turned stomach.

Look at all that good stuff! Reminds me of 2020 when you had a truckload just like that show up on your property. You must be living right.

Had to look it up. It was 2020. That’s one heck of a memory Eric LOL.
Most of that load is still out there, hasn’t been processed. Now I’ll have plenty to process it into pens instead of stacking. That’s nice.
    Same truck too ;)

He did come through...woohoo! How bad was the mud factor?

    Certain award for you Joe.;)

How much on hand now? Have you started cutting the other pile yet?

EDIT read other replies and answered my questions. I think another GTG is in order

He didn’t drive into the field. Too muddy. He buried the truck in his own field LOL
He dropped it in the dogleg of my driveway on that old concrete pad.
The rest will go in my lawn.
I made enough mess in that wet spot moving the logs off that pad into the field. Last night I was gonna start hauling logs out of the woods. Doesn’t matter how wet it is out there. I turned the corner tight on that wet spot with the log arch trying to hit fresh grass. Flipped it right over on a rock. I had just put the battery box all back together and fixed some wiring. Dagnabit.
Trying to con my sister into taking my mother on a short trip somewhere. I’m gonna fill that spot in with stone while she’s gone LOL

Been battling the mud myself here. Couldn't even back onto the yard to unload and load! Talk about a PITA. It'll be nice to walk on ground that doesn't make noise when you do. :picard:

Still want the TP if it ever does get dry enough to drive out there.

I’ll pull that log out of the processing area and bring it near my house. Can cut and load anytime. Have two smaller tulip logs stashed near the house already. Should make a full truckload.

Yeah you could do that too :)
He didn’t bring another load today. I’m not pushing if he does he does. I’ll get him a gift card or something.
Here’s a pic in the light of what he did bring. Certainly no lumber logs in that pile of curly fries

if he brings another load or load and a half I just may have to think about that :)

First I need to finish the pen full of 18” I’m making. Then I need to back up and finish that pen of 16” we started at the last GTG.
I abandoned that task to get the 18” drying. I’ll cover it this year and it should be dry enough for fireplace wood by this winter. A fussy customer but a good one. Wants that 18” real bad for some reason,,,,whatever, works for me too.
