You guys make me look like a dinosaur I still use a wheelbarrow to move my cuts after bucking and if I have to cut a tree high I climb I see tractors and bucket trucks skid steers
My cousin dropped off some gifts today. These are Remington mighty mite saws that were made fir John Deere and Montgomery wards. Theres a box of Remington color parts as well. They run. I'm going to clean them up, replace some broken bits with parts I've hoarded and display them.
He also gave me these. These are Stihl chains. Used till dull and tossed by his employer. They get them for $12 each because they are a big company and buy in large quantities. They are .325, 68 DL, .063. Five are full chisel and five are semi. I'm ordering one of those 18" Forester light bars to run these on 241 #2.
I didn't know that before partnering with Echo, Johnny had a deal with Remington. Neat! I guess I assumed all the old JD stuff were Echos too.
They also had a deal with homelite after echo then they bought homelite, move production down south and ruined them, then sold them off. After that Efco made their saws. Now they are partnered with stihl and sell stihl equipment.
I just laugh when I see anything with green & yellow paint that isn't a tractor. They are whores, putting their colors on all sorts of junk these days.
Cleaning up some field edges and downed limbs from wind storms a few years back. Version one and version two taking care of the cutting today--- Jonsered 2152 and 2252. Got about as much on the trailer as I could fit. Sent from my SM-S536DL using Tapatalk
I just looked it up on Acres saw collector site. Under the john Deere tab the first 13 saws are all Remington.
