With the storms that went through Ohio and Indiana last evening I was checking to see if anyone here needed help with tree clean up today. I am about three hours east of Indiana state line. I can throw a few saws in and come help. At least nine tornadoes touched down and there are many injuries and fatalities
I'm in Nashville, but kept an eye on the storms for my kiddos at home. Those things were crazy. There will be some eye opening damage assessments starting at daylight. I guess Lake and Northern Geauga County got hit with some significant hail around midnight.
Well dang. Northern half of the State can't catch a break. Rumbled a bit and some heavy rain at times down here. This is my first hearing of it being bad.
Supposedly there was something capable of a tornado went just right directly north of us, but it barely blew here as far as I know...looks like Plymouth got hit though...
Same here. I'm almost exactly halfway between Cleveland and Youngstown. It seems to have blown itself out before it got here
Wow, 9! High winds usually wake me and we apparently didn’t get those but a crack of lightning struck within 100 yards did. Sad to see the news this am.
I traveled up I-71 yesterday. There was a lot of tree damage as well as some roof damage south of Sunbury, just north of the rest area. Any info on whether that was from straight-line winds or a twister? Some of the trees definitely had a bit of twist to them.
I was sitting on the runway at Akron canton Airport for 30 minutes in it. At the beach now. Not sure what my place looks like now but they would of called.
Looks like NWS/NOAA is classifying the Delaware/Sunbury damage as tornado. Also, likely to link it to the Russell Point event as more damage is assessed.
