Thats great. If you show a pic of 1/3, 1/4 in your truck its helpful. Ive posted pics of stacks on sales where ive stacked. Also stating a 1/3 will make a 4x8" stack, 1/4 3x8 etc gives them a better idea. I also state lengths are consistent too.

I usually get scammers when i first post. Texts galore sometime. PITA but it is what it is. Have you tried FBM? I havent yet.

I think you're right about the pictures. People need to see what they're getting. Numbers and figures aren't useful to a casual burner. They'd appreciate seeing what their money gets them volume-wise.
I haven't tried FB Marketplace (haven't had a FB account in going on 6 years now) I know that's where it's at for a lot of people though.

Yet another load of dead ash from the quiet dirt road. Today was the inaugural run for my grandfather’s old Husqvarna 61. Since I was cutting “dirty” ash, I put the old 18” bar back on. My thoughts right off the bat: In stock form this is one rowdy saw! Very impressed so far. For sitting in a shed for a few years, this runs fantastic and didn’t skip a beat. Revs right up and idles perfectly.

The saga continues. 40 miles southeast of this morning’s scrounge, I picked up 2/3 load of a very solid dead ash. Bark is still tight for the most part.

And taking names :) I headed to Middletown thinking I was going to get another load of aspen like yesterday, but this fallen ash was calling to me. It was teetering on an old stone wall buried in multiflora rose prickers and bittersweet, but I had to have it. I know you can relate :loco:

    Lovely vines to deal with.

No PI? It usually hangs out with the others.

I spotted this blowdown and pulled over to do a test cut on it. That one cut turned into several before running out of time. I’ll pick away at it more next week.

LOL just fine at the moment. We’ll see how I wake up tomorrow though. Just had the little 028 with me today otherwise I would’ve noodled them in half first.

As time goes by ive liked sectioning rounds more and more for ease of handling. Most of the sugar maple i cut today i did that. Unless im just getting weak in my old age.

Wow! I feel like a slacker looking at that truck load. It's been a while for me.

I’ll be saying the same thing once the warm weather hits :) This is the time of year I don’t mind hitting it hard.

There's so much mud here I can't really do squat. And a whole bunch of rain on the way tomorrow/Wed. :(
