Sad state of affairs.


Doesn't bode well for the future.

 

It wasn't any different when I was in VietNam. I think the nature of all wars is political. What a shame.

 

Political or religious. Are there any other kind?

I won't say you misunderstand, as I really don't know you, or your history.

But.. what he is talking about is that politicians, that sit on their collective a$$es thousands of miles away, expect the troops to do their job , whilst restricting them to arbitrary nonsense that inhibits the ability to do the job.

I remember a Master sergeant that was in Nam.. and told me that while on guard duty, they were not allowed to fire on the enemy unless they were under fire.. point being.. that if your fellow soldier was taking fire.. he was not allowed to fire on the enemy because HE wasn't fired upon.

He also acknowledged the fact that since the politicians that made those ridiculous rules couldn't see what was happening on the ground.. they did as they felt was right.

Can't/shouldn't have to fight with one arm tied behind your back


Politicians should "go get them some"

 

From listening to everyone over the years i understand what you're saying, and the guy in the video. I was just speaking in general of the root cause of wars, kinda sarcastically i guess.

It's crazy the rules that are in place even for civilians. Could only imagine for gov employees.

Quick story: I was in lowes the other day getting a roll of 12/2 house wire. Well they have it locked up. Found someone to get it out and they had to carry it up to the reguster for me.

So i get up to check out and tell the cashier about the wire and say something about it being locked up. Well she proceeds to tell me that if someone were to try and steal something from the store they can't stop em. If they do they'll get fired. With policies like that its no wonder theft is on the rise in places. It just makes it a pain for regular people to shop.

 

Fully agree.. the nonsense is now being deployed here in "the homeland".

Cops aren't allowed to defend themselves, the store-owners aren't allowed to defend their livelihood.

And they want to disarm law abiding citizens so that they cannot easily defend themselves, their family, or property.


Without crossing the metaphorical political line.. I just don't understand the agenda driven by one side of the political spectrum.

Borders open to anyone interested in crossing over, squatters given more rights than homeowners, and looters that are given free reign.. WTF is the end goal here??

This is definitely not the same country that I was raised in..

 

I think even religious wars are political for the most part.

 

Dave, my head is already spinning. So much so I have to hang on to something when I stand, and I have to use a walker when I attempt to move some. Even then I lose my balance sometimes.

Well, I'll just say that we are most definitely not alone in those sentiments.

Plz avoid a coronary. I get just as worked up at times, but ruining your health is only benefiting the other side.

Aside from non-state sponsored actions.. ie.. terrorism..

ALL war is political, as only politicians can declare war, and/or send troops in for "policing" or "peacekeeping" actions.
