Thoughts on a Husqvarna 350 for $200. Seems like a really good deal, but I don’t know anything about Husqvarna. Looks reayckean in the pics

Maybe worth it if it checks out good in person. But I don’t think I would give that much for it. I’d be more in the $100-$125 range if I liked it in person and got to start it.

That one should not have a dished piston and run very well if it's in good order. Primer bulb or lack of is a good indicator for the age range for the model. Mine is a 98. Fully adjustable OEM carburetor and punches above it's weight. IIRC there are 5? iterations of the 350, mostly Piston/cyl changes and EPA stuff. I'd hit them at $150 on it and probably settle at $175 if it is a good runner.

This is a what 'clean' 350 looks like. Good saws.

Love these saws. I've owned a couple. I personally wouldn't give more than $150 for one that's in very good condition but I think prices are very location specific.

That's what they brought a couple years back. Dollars aint what they were. The saws are still the same.

Good candidate for a 346 top swap:

    Thanks for the insight.

I thought they compared to a Stihl 026/260

looks like the are more like a Stihl 250.

with that info I will pass on the Saw even though it looks really clean.

I still run my 350 occasionally. It is a good saw and you are right that it more like a Stihl 250 than a 260. Mine was among the years that had the intakes that were prone to leaking. I replaced it with the improved intake and it has been reliable ever since. I think $250 is a little high.

I have no comment on the saw or price there of but the person that has it knows little about saws when he says the "blade" needs sharpened.

Most of the time when they look like that they are half burned up or in need of tlc. The fact that they say blade tells me they don't know the first thing about saws.
It probably got too dull to cut or won't start. I have picked up a few over the years, never more than $100. Great saws when ported. Capable of an honest 5hp, but it's up high, not down low. They like to scream and will zip through wood like a hot knife through butter.

i'd offer $100 and see if you can examine in person. Pull muffler, check piston, test compression, take a look at the bar/chain, smell the gas tank. If it smells stale or sour, drop your offer.
