We got 3.5" from that. West bend got 5" it's melting so fast, which is nice. I'm planning on cutting firewood from the neighbors due to damage green the big snow storm from a couple weeks ago. I can't back all the way up to the tree line so I'll need to use a dolly to haul rounds to the trailer. That reminds me I need to buy some gas and amsoil sabre as I'm out of the sabre oil.

I have to make a run to the recycling center tomorrow after work to empty the trailer out before I can do anything with the firewood green the neighbors.

My old Galaxy 9+ was that way toward the end. I had to have the charger in a specific orientation (regardless it shouldn't matter - I marked the side of the connector that had to face up with a magic marker), and I had to get the connector with slight pressure at a small angle. In order to get that angle, I had to lay the phone on a flat surface but have the connector on a slightly elevated surface. Quite the PITA, especially when away from home when I had to figure out what implements available to me would produce charging.

It wasn't the cord (I tried a new one), and I am still using that cord today with success on both my Kindle and my new phone.

We received about 3-4” of the white stuff overnight last night. Fortunately I had the day off. So I cleaned up the snow, moved firewood in, and got a little walking exercise on top of those chores. Fortunately for me my wife baked up some chicken, made some noodles with a new sauce recipe that had an Asian taste to it, and had some fresh veggies to go with. One cold beer before dinner. I tired!

Finaly the weekend. Dad got out of the hospital yesterday and was able to return to the assisted living facility where he's been staying, at least for now. They put him on Hospice and that is something he is not happy about. In some ways it will be good as he can get stronger pain meds when he gets his migraines and he started to refuse most of the medications they had him on. Was told he was already feeling a little better yesterday evening. Have a nephew staying for a week plus a niece who is coming for a few hours today so I will stay in Omaha unless they call.
Hope he can clear his mind now and have some kind of quality of life back. Otherwise, he has had a good life, beat cancer that took all of his brothers and dad, and is ready to move on.

Got results from a radon test conducted last weekend. I was kind of nervous since I've really tightened up this house (comparatively speaking), especially when I had the chimney capped and the large basement/garage windows blocked in. Add to that that I get a bit of moisture that seeps up thru the basement floor (not a lot, just enough for dampness), and it could have been bad. Of course I have no idea if putting the raised floor in several years ago, and covering it with linoleum might reduce exposure. Regardless, I can't complain of the results.

Dad had to go to nursing home for rehab after hip surgery a few years back...they had him on all kinds of meds that he normally does not take, due to when he is home he is able to keep things working perfectly fine with natural remedies and supplements...which they would not let him take there...he said they were gonna kill him if he didn't get outta there soon...he did make it out, and it took a week or so to get back to normal, but things did normalize after getting home and dropping all the prescription meds.
It was kinda funny, he was in a bad vehicle crash a few years earlier and the first couple days in the hospital he said every time a different doctor or nurse came in they'd look at his chart and ask him "you really don't take any prescriptions?!" in disbelief, because apparently its so rare to see someone in their 70's not on a whole laundry list of meds!

Well i tried to get out and split some wood today but after the freezing temps yesterday + the last 2 nights being 20° and it being 40° & sunny today.... it's more of a mess than it's worth currently. Gotta find something else to do now.

That's a good idea. I'll have to get that bench cleaned off first. I was looking more along the lines of a no brainer, visually rewarding project. Oh well I'll piddle thru what's left.

Waiting for that relight had to clean out after a few days of hickory burn. It produces way more coal/ash than anything I’ve ever burned. Except maybe sweet gum.

Too many deer running around in the woods to bother with raising cows.
