Sierra Classic or the new style? If it's a diesel it's a duramax, unless someone swapped something else in.

45K miles? Did they park the truck in a garage and forget they had her?

Thanks All for the well wishes. I would have responded sooner but I must have done something to my iPad and haven’t been able to get back on until now(Thanks Scotty:thumbs:).

Feeling better from the COVID but still no energy and some dizziness that won’t go away..maybe what’s called long COVID? I do know that I’m definitely no fun to be around when sick, so god bless my wife for her patience! I would have kicked me out and told myself to come back when my attitude improved :picard:

I’m in agreement with you Horkn! Takes more energy to procrastinate than just get in there and do it! I used Quickbooks for my business for years and Quicken for personal finances. No business since 2008 but still use Quicken for personal and filing is pretty danged easy…. But I still hate the getting started:jaw:. Still beats the paper forms and calculators though!!

I don’t know what the price is (they’re all too expensive!) but at 45K miles it’s barely broken in. If driven relatively often, well maintained and not just sitting there for 17 years I would definitely consider it.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve been doing nothing much more than sitting for several weeks so guess it’s time to get up off my a** and at least start with some short walks to build back my stamina.

Glad you're on the mend :) It's $29K, price point and low miles compared to other used trucks. It's for his work, his truck has a zillion miles. It will be retired, new truck to guys, and he'll take one of theirs thats getting up there. The put on more miles than he does.

Thanks TrinitySouth99 , not sure of the trim, it's bare bones work truck.

Price seems in the ballpark. Grandson has been looking at a 2005, 2500 Duramax LT trim, extended cab with 85K miles. Asking 24K…this is in Utah

Interesting, we bought our 05' Duramax for $24K in 2010. Inflation is nuts!! Mine's been great except a fuel filter issue, left me stranded a few times on hot days. Horkn suggested a CAT brand filter with adapter a few years ago. Not one problem since then if it comes up for him. I do very little miles but husband takes the 5th wheel bird hunting and uses it for his work sometimes, I'm ~125-150K miles now, no major repairs. Can't say what my trim is but there's gadgets built in I don't use:rofl:

I spent a week in Salt Lake for business-in the winter-twice, a decade apart, both times we made calls in Ogden a few days. I really wish we were in a truck with 4x4 instead of rental cars both times. Glad he'll be above the point of impact if an accident happens on slick roads !

Thanks for the advice! I’ll pass it along to him. I have a 2015 Duramax with 95K miles. I’m hoping that it’s the last truck I need to own. Pricing on vehicles is nothing short of insane.

I called and switched phone carriers today. I've had at&t for like 24 years. I added my wife to my account a long time ago. It was called Cingular back then. My wife needed a new phone after her charging port wasn't working and spectrum is running a great deal. Ended up getting 2 upgraded memory top of the line google Pixel 8 pro phones and unlimited 5g for 55 dollars a month for the first year. After a year, the second line adds $30, so still 85 dollars which is still close to $40 less than I pay for 2 non unlimited non 5g lines on at&t with one paid off phone and 1 mid range 2022 Motorola phone that was $8 a month. These pixel 8 pros are 30 a month each from all the other carriers but spectrum had a great for 12.xx a piece/ month. Sold. Spectrum uses Verizon so there shouldn't be any issues. New phones arrive Friday, which is good because my wife's phone is being very difficult to get to charge with the port getting worn out and it stopped charging wirelessly for some reason.

I took my wife out for Valentine's Day dinner at a place that I had my baptism dinner at as an infant. We go there at least 1x a year. We had bubbly and dessert at home.

I'm glad to hear that filter setup has been working great for you. It seems the aftermarket usually solves the factory issues for less money.

Have you tried to turn the phone off while charging it? My work phone wasn't charging unless I turned it off. For some reason, it seems to be working fine again now so something you could try if you haven't already.

That hasn't made a difference. What we've noticed is that if the cord's is plug it's torqued just a little, with say an office binder clip, away from the regular resting position of a cord, then it charges. I turned the battery saver function off the phone on, which definitely helps keep the battery from draining.

Great news is that our new phones left North Carolina yesterday and are already on Indianapolis as of midnight and expected tomorrow. They need to be signed for upon delivery so I told my wife that she'll need to be home Friday. She wasn't planning on even going into town that day so we should be all good.

We got a light dusting of snow overnight and this morning was our weekly men's Bible study at church followed by taking my wife to the dentist this afternoon to get a tooth pulled. I have a gun show to go to on Saturday so any working with wood will have to wait until next week.

Went to the VA ER yesterday. Now being treated for a UTI. Yuk! Was back at the VA today to be seen by Orthopedics for eval of my knees. Rt knee is so bad. Cannot be surgically corrected even if I managed to get my BMI down. Can't have pain meds due to compromised renal status. Looks like I am stuck using my electric wheelchair.
