Well, ok, it's a huge carport...lol... Sides will be enclosed to the ground. We will put some stone on the ground, but not to the top of the wall. Maybe 6-8" on the low side
No, we built the wall on the low side so the carport will be level. High side will set on the ground. Fairly level on long side.
The levelers from Anderson came in, also got a 2x10x12 and made 2 6' boards like FarmerJ used. Had to trim maybe 1" off one leveler to fit between tires. Pulled camper out, moved it downhill about 2' so slides can open under carport and set it up again. Those boards and levelers work great... Then we pulled truck and SxS inside wall. It all fits nicely Carport should be here in March sometime
Ahhhh i understand better. Went back and looked at the pictures a little closer and i think it was the first one that looks kinda like 2 walls close together? Well looking closer i see one is the wall you're building and the other is your material pile and i see your string lines now, too. That'll be nice once it's up. You definitely lucked out driving that rebar! How'd you not hit a big rock? Lol
The materials were bundled together, so used forks on tractor to move it close to build site. Luckily not many rocks in our immediate area, about 20 miles from us is a granite quarry, didn't hit any big roots either...... Thanks for the nice compliments.

We got a new TV yesterday for the camper. Haven't mounted it to the wall yet, not sure how thick the walls are. We officially spent our 1st night in here, fell asleep in the recliners watching a movie......must be like home...... Had to turn the gas on and fire up the furnace very early this morning, little electric heater wasn't keeping up.
Do most campers had a drain for the fridge? I don't see one on the slide out, there is a drain line under the camper in the middle it may be plumbed into. Floor on the kitchen slide out may have to have work done on it...... Vinyl had a tear on it, guy had a piece of sheet metal laid down when slide is pulled in. I got the rust stain up, noticed corner is low...
Yes they have drains. Bugs clog them with nests ect and the water ends up backing up and rotting the floor. I thought I posted my preventative cure for this early in the thread. Luckily I caught ours immediately and our floors are all fiberglass like the rest of the hull so no worries on permanent damage. There were 13 different cacoons in our fridge drain.
I was ready to sell/trade the camper and get a new one, but the wise wife asked me to call and see how much to fix it. Called one of the dealers we visited Wednesday, their a family owned, been in business since 1966 and have a repair shop. They quoted us about $4200 and a little for materials. My wife said we could afford that better than new payments. Got a couple other things I'm going to get them to look at while it's there. We're taking it Monday morning, they're not busy right now.
Bummer brother. This bums me out for you. Another thing I did with the fridge drain was seal it to the inside of the fridge so in the event it somehow gets plugged again, the water would stay in the fridge and we'd see it vs it running under the fridge unseen. The spout the drain hooks to just snaps into the back of the fridge on ours and if it backs up it runs around it, follows the outside of the drain to the floor. I used bathtub sealant on it so no water can flow around it. Its either going down the drain or in the fridge. I hope this description makes sense. Lol Its accessed from inside the fridge.
T.Jeff Veal Are you sure the leak is the fridge snd not the slide out? Skide outs are prone to leaking as well.
I'm not sure, but yesterday morning when I picked up the piece of metal covering the rust stain, it was wet under it and it hasn't rained in a few days. I'll get the shop to inspect the roof too.
I’m thinking that I might need to get a new roof put on my camper. I guess that is something that is done pretty regularly. I need to get a quote. Part of the reason we upgraded last year was because the roof had leaked too much too often over the years. It was a 97 model I think so it was getting pretty old and hadn’t spent much time under a canopy or anything. We really like our newer one so I want to keep it up as much as possible for awhile.
