I’ll have to move more wood into the basement today, but the will this be the last time thoughts have begun. End of the week warm up with more rain :emb:

20/70. Found a vein of cherry in the woodshed. Tossed some in the stove to get a break from the oak monotony.

Not burning, shut the stove down to dust off the cat and scoop then tighten the bypass. Had some noise in the stove after cleaning. IMG_0849.jpeg

66F in the house this morning. Overnight low in the high 20s. We've switched from oak to other wood like maple and ash as we've had and will continue to have warmer days. We're still burning some during the day, but usually just an AM fire to take the edge off, and then just a half load at a time. It's been a nice winter for wood conservation, not that this is a super important issue for use right now (still about 12 cord in our stacks).
