First part of May, mainly May 2-3-4, but all are welcome to come early. Wives and family are welcome. Food and drink is provided by all who come. This indeed will be the last one at our place, near Chesaning, MI. More details will be given in PM's. What we normally do is work and play with more emphasis on the play. We also eat some extremely tasty food, have a constant campfire, door prizes and just plain visiting. There is a camping area with porta pottie for those who wish to camp. Motels are scarce in this area. There are some bed n breakfast places. Having a problem? Contact me. There are also several folks who just stretch out in the house overnight. Its best to bring sleeping bag or blankets and maybe a pillow. I try to keep it warm in here... We do go to a neighbor's on Friday to put up his winter supply as he is pretty much unable to do it himself any more. He stacks logs by his OWB so there is no felling or limbing; just cut, split and stack. Other times we are either on our place or right next door. All are welcome to bring saws, splitters and any tools needed. If someone would like to try a different saw, many are willing to let them.
It’s been several years since I’ve been out Dennis, really looking forward to it. And I hope the weather holds so I can ride out on my Honda, homemade pop up camper in tow. (A hard shell roof top tent mounted on a small motorcycle trailer frame.)
Planning on being there. The wife probably will have to have neck surgery. She has an April 9th appointment with the surgeon. We'll know more after that.
Is there a food list or another thread for this? I'm gonna head up Thursday first thing. My girls are dropping eggs like crazy so I'll bring some for breakfasts or people to take. Just not sure what else is needed. This gtg seems to have an abundance of grub.
Tim there is a pm with food related stuffs in it. I asked Backwoods Savage to add you. I bet eggs would be welcome.
Thanks Brad. I already let Kevin know he didn't need to bring the tray he usually has. Peeps can take them home otherwise I guess. Except Steve. He's a duck.
