22 here. Just loaded the Wood Gun with White Pine, since I’ll be home most of the day. High of only 30ish today they are guessing. Yesterday, while working the tractor, I noticed how soft the top of the ground was under the snow. Tires were making impressions in the soil. There is little, to no frost under the snow. o_O I know the snow can insulate, but it’s the first week of February!

Couple degrees above freezing and light drizzle...bizarre weather. Small chunks of pine warming the way.

They said it would be 50f today, I think it got to a cool damp mid-40's at best. At least got Tippy lubed and oil changed this morning plus 2/3 of the ash in the back into the house to keep us going.

28/70 no reload this morning as we are supposed to be sunny again today. Yesterday I reloaded and the sun finally broke through, it was a smidge toasty in the shack.

As clear as the sky is, I expect a little more drop in the temps.

-5C/23F for now, and staying just below freezing for the day. Looks like the potential for 4 days of white stuff falling, so that should be gross with these warm temps. Pine.

39/71 Gonna go put some white oak in before bed. Nice coal bed going right now. Looks like a week of highs mostly in the upper 40’s before getting back into the 30’s for highs the following week. probably should start getting around the sapping supplies.
