I like your style more than the terraced look. There’s a level of acceptance to your method rather than an attitude of “man must work against everything in the natural world”
Don't screw with mother nature. I would do the exact same thing. Besides, look at all the waisted space in the Brad's picture. Does look nice though.
Looks like they are overthinking it...lotta work to end up with all that wasted space! If you don't trust your stacking skills, just put a couple posts at the bottom and go!
campinspecter is not a spring chicken, but I will put $ on him. I don’t think his area gets a lot of snow more rain west coast
Actually campinspecter does the laundry and hangs it out on the line. Now that I am home more, I guess I will be using it too.
The wood that I've stacked on the slope is Western Yellow Cedar. It can sit in the open uncovered for years and not rot. It's my emergency wood!
From the bottom stacks, they will probably go on level ground to the basement. If not, campinspecter will rig up a sled/dolly and use the winch on the wood splitter to take it to the top.
Figured he would as he has a winch on splitter I wasn’t putting $ on him doing it the hard way.. Just that he would get it Done!
