Dang, didn’t get woken by the dog to go out last night. Usually open the draft when that happens to burn down calls and kick up inside temps. Also didn’t realize it was supposed to get so cold. 6/67. Ash pan door open to finish the burn from an 8hr load, then a full reload of what’s left of my SBH and RO.
This’ll be the last of the mornings in the low teens for a while here. I hope to see at least one more decent cold snap here before the end of the season. 14/70 red/white oak with a couple honey locust shorts.
Down in the teens again this morning around 17, nice load of some oak shorties. Temps going up by mid week, hopefully melting some of this white stuff laying around.
23F at 8:00 this morning. The intense cold is over for now supposed to be highs of mid 30s and above for the next 10 days. That will be good to get rid of some of this snow that’s been around since just before Christmas
They are talking 35º for us today here Chuck, having a heat wave! Supposedly the 50's by Thursday... .
Similar buddy, above freezing today for first time in awhile!! Mid week, rain and warm temps.................I def put a dent in some wood past few weeks.
Warm up headed my way. But, mother nature just dumped about an inch of slick ice on me. I'm gonna stay home today and keep the stove loaded with red oak and hickory. Loading up the Lopi Mike in Okla
18/78 here white oak and cherry going this morning. Supposed to be the last cold day before we get mid-high 30's and rain/sleet all week. Cant wait for the ice mess that will make.
Another -18C/-1F morning, and some wind on top. Some very moderate weather on the way in the next week, apparently nothing colder than -15C/4F ish ballpark and some daytimes next week just below freezing! That cold blast we had was miserable, so this is a welcome reprieve.
We should get above freezing today. First time in a while. Freezing rain this evening. Lots of mud next week. More oak and hickory in the boiler. Used a bunch last week compared to the rest of the year...should slow down now.
Freezing rain after 23:00 through the night, but warmer temps in the AM will resolve any mess. Late night employees will have some trouble
