Just picked up a 500i

    I looked at one at Runnings in NH today. It’s heavier than my MS250, but not that bad. It’s a really nice saw.

    I have had a chance to actually run a 500i.

    I must admit, it is a very nice saw. Little vibrations compared to the Holzforma G660 or the MS362 I have.

    You’re absolutely right about that! That 357 would be a great first one to have done too! Just ask The Wood Wolverine Ran mine Thursday…..the thing just doesn’t slow down on pulling the chain!

    If I was forced to sell all my saw’s except one, the ported 357 would go last. For me, it’s the perfect firewood saw. When Dan Henry ported it, he described it would be like a ported 346 on steroids. That sums it up well. Sandhillbilly save up some beans and send one of yours to Kevin, or Shaun Carr who is much closer(he’s in Iowa City, Iowa). I guarantee you won’t regret it.

    It makes Mathematical sense too. Cost to port a saw is less than the cost of an additional saw, but it turns your existing saw into twice the saw.:rofl: :lol:
