That is a lot of wood being burned. Currently 17f with a projected high of 20f before we drop back to the single digits. Saturday morning low could be -20f, getting tired of this cold crap.
20º here on the coast, 74º inside. Grandma is now chewing on some 3 year old Oak. Our Fishpond is froze over, I'll get some nice pics today, fish are swimming under the Ice.
Pretty good cold spell here in S.Jersey and the tri state area for the past week or so. Nothing but the same for the weekend! Been feeding the stove pretty good. Maple and Sassafras during the day hours and loading up on Oak for overnight burns.
-27c/-16f this morning which surprised me a bit. We got about 10 inches of dry fluffy snow yesterday which is good since our snow pack is so low this year. We should be warming up any day now. Doug fir in the stove.
Here's something you don't see everyday, fish under ice. Yes, alive and swimming! Were sitting at 24º right now, supposed to get into the teens tonight. No worries here, Lots of big split Oak!
We had a warm spell. Two days above freezing. . A cold front moving back in taking us to single digits or negative again. Red oak and hickory. Loading up the Lopi Mike in Okla
Id like to teach them to stay put for at least a few seconds after I open the door. I’d be a lot warmer that way.
22/72 warm up for a day then cold again for 2 days. A fair amount of snow supposed to come in tonight and tomorrow. Have a stove load of cherry rolling along.
