You always have to check in person. We have found many plants here that are said not to grow here. I'm talking several states away.
That and the all-knowing US Forest Service can't keep track of every tree in every state, much less urban areas where who-knows-what gets planted and escapes cultivation.
Should I start planning an escape from the cold in the chopper?? What’s the range on a full fuel load?
His clock must be one of the stihl advertising clocks….. it’s either really slow or quit working altogether.
Oops!!! Sorry i forgot last night. Its Norway maple. I cant get over how much that one looked like ash and have been fooled in the past when i scrounged from log piles thinking it was such. Ive also been fooled by tulip poplar. Look for a whitish fungus in the crevices common in TP bark. Good wood if you can score any. Comparable to ash in btu's, splitting factor and drying time. Congrats to Eric Wanderweg as he gets the helicoptor ride. Thanks to all who gueesed.
Invasive species and maybe only a yard planting in your area. When i looked up what states it was found in it wasnt seen in JimBear (Iowa) and Sandhillbilly (Nebraska) states.
