1 outside and 71 inside. Mostly elm and a piece of cherry were next on the stack. Got em loaded before I left this morning. Schools cancelled so my son will keep it going until I get home later this evening.
Had to reseal the exhaust/chimney pipe in house last night. The bubblin goo has been running overnight. It’s a little chilly out there. I’ll bet I went through “some” of that overnight! Fire now going with Pine and Cherry in. It’s going to take a while to get things heated back up in this cold!
Just cleaned the ash from my stove and dispersed it on the glacier that is my driveway. 16/68 starting the day off with another round of mulberry and red/white oak.
Coldest morning yet for us! 13º out, the house is now 78º. got down to 62º , I got up at 2am threw in a big oak split.
-1/65 Gonna throw some wood in the Vapor Fire in about an hour. Can't say if we got a dusting of snow or if the wind just blew some of the white chit around.......
I have 3/72. Reloaded stove last night while I was up. BL doing the work. Need to turn stove's blower on to keep things toasty in these temps.
Yes, and that hedge works very nice! Thank you for leaving me some again last spring. It sure is nice during those below zero nights!
As most of you all know, I am nearly right on the water/coast. It's only got to a steamy 16º here at 10am. Kinda rare here, but not for some of you folks. Just added a nice Oak split in Grandma. She'll burn smoothly now to about 1pm with that big split. Our wind is touching 25mph, so we got a bit of a bite in the air, clear as a bell out though.
Currently sitting at -21C feels -28C, which for some reason seems downright balmy compared to our last few days, but it's not over yet...should be sleep all night time by Saturday. Pine pine pine.
18/72 got a nice load of cherry and oak rolling. Warmed up today from 4 this morning, suppose to hang around 18 overnight. A few inches of snow coming Thursday and Friday. Hopefully I can cut a load on Sat as we have a warm up and sloppy rain for next week.
We lucked out on the driveway and road, it appears all the snow drifted in our back yard instead, the back part of this rectangle 1 acre plot has a line of drifts 15' tall. Due for water tomorrow morning, fingers crossed the plant out here is up and running again.
20/70 Hickory, hickory and hickory! My wife has been doing a great job keeping it going while I am at work.
71/20 Burning some ash, white Oak and Hickory in the Fireview. Got the temps back up in the house, it was 59 earlier. Deer have been in the front yard last couple evenings and the door might have been cracked open.
