I mentioned to my wife I'm planning on picking up another ton of pellets this weekend. She gave me that 'look', at which point I asked if she wanted to be warm in mid February.

I believe I have the green light.

Something about the word "warm" seems to get em like "beer" gets us! Wife was only going to get 2(from TSC). I said I had room for 3 tons(1 SC from HD) and we could keep the house warmer. Fastest check I have ever seem writen!

When I told her that I burned more pellets last year than I have in the stash now, then it all made sense. One extra ton won't give me much wiggle room if the winter turns out to be crappy. I want to get at least two more. If the winter turns out to be not so bad, then I'm ahead on next years stash.

I wouldn't either. My pellets are in the basement and the beer is in the garage.

I wouldn't go there about now. He is in a hunting mood. He says he is going for moose, but it is open bear season and I'm betting he would tag one, esp. if the bear was near his stash. Just be very suspect of any jelly doughnuts you find unattended. At least until bear hunting season if over.

I ain't worried about subsailor, his sights are set on a far larger animal than a scrawny long o the tooth Bear critter bear season or not. He'd take one look and say its not worth the bullet.

I think most of my kin prefer honey glazed, but I might be wrong. Bears also like fresh wood pellets according to one of my brothers in law.

You sound like the bear that been knocking off my bird feeders. If I hang a few jellies in the bushes, Would ya leave my feeders alone?

Don't count on that. Bears are getting stocked up on all they can for their "larder".

Well it is getting ready for winter season, winter may start on Thursday. I best get to my window cleaning so I can install the interior storms.

Also I'll make a PB and Baked Bean run. The jelly/jam situation is under control. A few pounds of spuds would come in handy as well. We have winter squash all over the place.

This weekend it is apple sauce canning time.

Well, lets see. Even a scrawny long o the tooth Bear critter can be ground into burger and mixed with other more edible species to make it palatable. That's free food!!! For the price of a bullet that I paid for years ago.

Smokey, I got 10 tons of Blazers in my basement.:smoke:

That's like a glazed donut with cherry cream filling to a pellet bear!!

Pssst! Bear, If you keep him buzzy. I'll pilfer what I can and will split em 60/40! :D 60 for you of coarse, dodging lead should be worth a larger share!!

Did I mention the part about since I am very old I likely have diseases that cooking doesn't eliminate.

So how many tons did you burn last year? We burned about 5.5 and I already have 6 tons sitting in the basement. We're going to see how it's going and maybe get another ton in January or February.

Not sure I'd wait that long. February was about the time we had the crunch last season. I'd add the ton as soon as you burn a ton to make room.

We may be fine, But some of the pellet guru's have predicted another crunch if we see cold and vortex's like last season!
