Uh-huh.  David vs Goliath for sure. Some things just work (both models). The C130 was so good they haven't really even tried to replace that airframe. Just keep finding new things for it to do. Everything from trash hauling to CAS. Which one will retire first? The Herc or B.U.F.F?

Don’t leave it too long. I soloed a couple weeks after my 50th. Things get tougher as ya age. The ppl I thought was hard enough but when I was studying for the cpl I realized how easy the ppl is as far as the books and exams are concerned.

I've got time, but I'm not really looking to take it slow. If that makes sense.

The challenge for me is I'm working a fairly demanding job still, 8 hour days are not really a thing. That is likely going to have to take a backseat when I get serious about my CPL or even instrument rating.

There was an RV buzzing around when I was taking my training in 17. They got a great wing. Fast cruise and slow over the fence. My 150 is a Texas tail wheel with a hundred hp. Not the best warm weather machine.
