We hit 55⁰ yesterday, with a dewpt of 49⁰. It was nice to open a few windows.

A tad more seasonal today. 30⁰/39⁰ sunny morning, breezy. Overcast with snow squalls possible this afternoon.

We put the last of Christmas away yesterday. The nativity sets are always the last to put away.

Good morning. It is a chilly one this morning. Pulling the spear house out on the lake tomorrow. This is latest date for me to be able to do that given this late start to winter.
Stove is working to keep the furnace at bay.

Morning all. More overcast skies this morning so it wasn't quite as cold 23F and we had frost with it this morning. it is still pretty dry out.
After Sabbath, we watched the KC chiefs game. Now that was cold. If it was that cold here, every building in town would be frozen solid as well as their vehicles.
Football watching today with chores.

Sawdust Man It seems you have more sunshine that rainy cloudy days. I love the pictures of the sunrises. You have quite the collection of tools there.

Yes ma'am, we get way more winter sunshine here than we did in the pnw....I really like the winters here in misery.....the summer, not so much.

 

It was in the teens yesterday when I was out blowing snow. When I came in for lunch, my wife had fixed a can of Campbells chicken noodle soup. That really hit the spot. It satisfied the kid in me.

A nice winter day ahead. 21⁰/33⁰ mostly sunny.

It's supposed to start snowing ~4am tomorrow, for most 9f the day. A couple of inches is expected. Looks to be a good day to make a pot of chicken soup.

I'll bring wood to the deck. I'm starting to burn more oak, with some black locust overnight. During the day, outlying ash and red maple, with a piece of oak at times.

I'll go grocery shopping at some point.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. About 40° here at work this morning, maybe get to 60°. Got to deliver a load of wood to an older lady this morning, she's burned 2 loads already this year. Taking her some dry hickory and we will cut some post oak we've had for awhile.
Then probably be nap time again...1 more nite to work.

Morning everyone, I had just finished my first cup of coffee when I got called in to work to salt. I was hoping to enjoy this day off but we're not starting out that way . I crossed my fingers that they didn't want to pre-salt before the snow tonight but the powers that be made the decision to. Have a great Monday!

We'll be snowed in for a few days because our county road is mega steep and won't be plowed..... that's okay with me because I don't wanna go out anyways.

Good morning all.

Still on the cool side. Suppose to finally get above zero tomorrow for a day or two before dropping again. Roads are opened up for the most part.

Chance of snow today and winds are suppose to pick up later so WC are suppose to drop to -40 or so.

Tonight is also our caucus here in Iowa.

I'll be so happy to go and vote and get our part done. Just yesterday I had 15 calls and 10 text messages from campaigns and pollsters.
