Almost forgot, -20C/-4F currently. Pine chunks for breakfast.
Tightened up my air plate and blocked a few secondary holes to simmer the reactor down for the cold weather. We are ready.

You're right on all counts, Dennis. I grew up on a farm in Iowa on the Minnesota border. I know what cold and snow are, and I know I'm pretty lucky to be where I am after being reminded. :handshake:

32 with falling temperatures to mid-20's in the morning. After that they will continue to fall to who knows what. Been snowing all day, but only now starting to stick. Talking 4-6 inches more before tomorrow noon.

May hit 50 today. Calling for heavy, heavy rain and high winds. Sounds like a recipe for flooding and uprooted trees. Not looking forward to it.

29/70. Red oak and hickory in the stove. We got our first snow overnight and rain headed this way. It’s a wet dreary day.

26 and rising slowly. Red oak and ash to start the day, and I just reloaded with one ugly gnarled split of white oak and some white pine chunks.
