That's just a good fun storm. Lol. Well if you're not normally scared to death like the sky is falling.

I’m an all or nothing type guy when it comes to snow. Little 1/2” storms are a nuisance, but when we get a foot + and I can’t make it to work I’m jumping for joy :D

I didn't listen to them this time. All I checked regularly for was the ETA and the snowfall amounts on the map.....just the raw data...from a weather app.

    No network news broadcasts (NONE)

    No stupid drama.

That's what i do all the time. I don't watch the news but when i come here and see people reactions it's hard to ignore/not know what the news is saying. Kinda funny anymore really.

Eric Wanderweg those are about the only storms we get anymore. Here's what's left after getting up to 35° today. Supposed to be warmer tomorrow.

IMG_3510.jpeg It’s starting to peter out, looks like the guessers were pretty much right on, now the real fun starts. Mamma’s mixing up some cocktails for when we are done. Too bad most it will probly melt Wednesday with hi 40’s and rain.

That’s depressing. I hear you. We’re getting warm torrential rain in a couple days which will spell death for the snowpack here. Still plenty of winter left though, and I think we’re all overdue for some real winter storms at some point.

I grew up with hearing more than 6"to12". Not much to worry about for today's snow, but it was a good opportunity to take stock, look around, reassess things a little.
There's always room for improvement, things to tweak for the next bigger event.
And encourage others to do the same at whatever level.

If we are going to get snow, I don't mind today's storm. We got about 5 inch or so of light snow. Easy to move.. As said here it is allot better than the strong wind and rain we had a short time ago. I still have quite a mess to clean up that I didn't get to because of getting covid. First time I had it and don't want it again.:)

Someone that was interviewed on the national news (radio) said what snow they got was no match for their battery powered snowblower. It couldn't handle it. We had to use shovels.

    Go figure!

Yes, we are. I finally retired (everyone stop laughing) so now we get to do more things together. It is going to be a good year.

Many electric or gas blowers can't handle the wet gloopy stuff we get here sometimes.

We got 2 to 3 inches on the ground.
I measured 2.5 on an Adirondack chair arm.
I measured 5 to 6 inches on a snow shovel handle propped up against a bush by the front door I forgot to bring in. That must be somewhat representative of the snow that accumulated asthe snow/rain went back and forth during the night and morning.

    We'll recover posthaste.

If you get a good 2 stage gas snowblower its not even in the same league as electric.

My gas walk behind can do my 400+ft driveway on less than one tank. Meaning i don't have to stop until it's done.

The only thing I've found with wet stuff is the shoot might get plugged up more often. Has little to no effect on the engines runnablity.

Polar Vortex meets Finn for the brawl to settle it all. You might get buried in snow drifts or wiped out by tornadoes. This storm has it all. Get your bread and milk while you still can.
