Today is a little of this and a little of that around the house. Last day of vacation. Mailed out the mortgage payment, went to TSC and bought dog food, chicken food, and wood shavings. Moved some stumps/logs from the remainder of one pile and onto another, one more area cleaned up and leveled off. Now cleaned up and going to get hairs buzzed short. Then, I guess, I’ll go to the dump.

Anyone else wondering why the "investigation" of the cocaine in the White House was swept under the table? SOP?

    Pathetic.

Ummm. Guess you missed that tidbit of the NEWS. We’re not able to identify the perpetrator that lost their bag of coke, not enough video surveillance.:whistle::whistle::whistle:

    Well, I spoke too soon.

I'm sick. Wife is sick. I started getting a dull headache and nasal drip and head congestion yesterday. My wife and I cannot smell anything at all.

Today I worked from home as to not get others at work sick, even though that's where I got it, because my coworker has been sick every week or so off and on since forever. He's got little kids in daycare. He never works from home when he definitely can, and usually burns all his sick days right away. Except this year so far. There's plenty of other people at work with the same cough. So I know it's spreading.

So I will again work from home tomorrow, because I can. Hopefully my wife and I start getting better before the weekend.

It sounds like this bug is the same as what you guys have described.

Those of you that have been sick recently, how long did it take to get over this?

That takes me a while to get used to typing the right year on the computer. Muscle memory perhaps?

Not sure it's the same bug. Ours was flu, wicked headache and relentless dry cough, fever, muscle aches. Took WWW over a week and I'm over a week and not normal yet.

Thank you! Yes. Tons of sleep here, like several hours more a night. There's a nighttime Theraflu that gets me to go to sleep in about 15 minutes. The daytime stuff is good too. Plus working from home I can literally get up, throw clothes on and a hat, and work. When I join in on meetings, it's voice only for those remotely, as nobody at my work uses their cameras except the meeting room camera.

Two weeks now and still have a head and chest cold. On a good note, my girlfriend gifted it to me for Christmas.

I'm feeling a lot better this am. Congestion is going away, and so far I haven't had to take any meds just to function like all day the last 2 days. We'll see. Working from home again and hopefully I can go back to the office on Monday.
Hope she's taking care of you! My wife has been affected as well, but she still waits on me as much as she can.

Spent the day working with the tractor. Picked up my debris forks, first thing, at the welding shop. They made some adjustments for me. So far, so good. Happy about that. Separating all the large, burnable stuff out of piles. Then leveling off small debris and dirt. Helps a lot when burning.

Made some progress today and then piled stuff up to get ready to burn again. Went for a walk with my son for an hour just before dinner. Wind was a little chilly, but was good exercise. Went out to lite a burn pile after dinner, but the wind is up and down. Weather app said gust up to 21mph, so I said no thanks. I’ll wait until tomorrow night and see how it is then. Snow is supposed to start late Saturday night. A quiet night tonight.

I was down and out for three days. Not much better for another 1-1/2. But, I was at least through the chills and severe headaches after 2-3 days. Took 6 days before feeling good. Still not 100%, but getting there.

Thank you! Hope you and your wife get past all of it soon along with everyone here that hasn't been well. Also, if you don't mind me saying it's been a long time and it nice to see you all here again.
