I had a customer buy three cords of barkless BL last year. I spaced the deliveries out over a few weeks. No discount.
My favorite is when people will say over the phone, "If I buy more than one cord can you do better on the price." This "do better" seems to come up every now and then. After hearing it here and there over the years I finally spun it one guy. When he asked if I could do better on the price, I politely asked him, "better for who?" The conversation ended there. That guy didn't end up buying at all from me but I've used on other guys and they have bought from me.
I have found when it really gets cold and a customer contacts you, they want your firewood and as soon as possible. Plenty of "cheap" firewood for sale everywhere; however, most people know you get what you pay for. Just notice it is supposed to get really cold here a week from now. Business will be off the charts, but not looking forward to delivering in sub-freezing temps.
