Bring it! This winter has been mild and without much snow. The economy depends on it!

As long as the ground freezes a bit more! Had a boatload of stone delivered and I hate raking it back into the driveway!

Fingers crossed I remember how to plow

Absolutely. Business are screaming right now. No snow affects so many places. Recreation, hotels, restaurants are all empty. Property maintenance companies don’t have any work for the employees. L&G and tractor dealers have no sales and no service work, if it doesn’t get used it won’t break. To be honest I don’t mind not having to deal with snow and working in it everyday, more due to physical restraints than the thought of snow, but we do need it.

I think my biggest snowfall this year was 4.5-5" and that was followed by so much sleet/rain that I couldn't use machinery to clear it out. fortunately that also meant it got warmer, so all I really had to shovel was the driveway, front porch/steps, the path from the back porch to one gate and around both of the fence gates. All the smaller amounts were shoveled or just left because warmer air was coming in.

They are still saying the expected track for this storm is still unclear (as of 11:00 last night). At this point, assuming the storm track doesn't shift, I am again right on the edge of the pink versus purple. If I get at the 6" mark or above, that will be my largest of the season. Thankfully, they are saying that wind won't be a factor.

They moved that pink area up quite a bit last night, so I'm solidly in the 6-12" according to the local station. I've seen other people call it a Nor'easter, but my local station is calling it a regular winter storm. Nor'Easters usually hammer the coast with high winds and wave actions, and I haven't heard of either of those being of concern.

Then Cloud Boy, is putting my area in 8-12" (he also has a map for the entire state, I just chose this one).

In the same post, he writes:

In the previous post he expresses how this is an abnormal storm (and he calls it a Nor'easter - but an abnormal one.

Oh, this isn't really severe weather. What MAY be severe is flooding when we get yet another rain event on Wednesday.

6 -12 inches forecasted for here. Shouldn't be a big deal. Cleanup might begin mid-afternoon, Sunday.

I’m too far north. 1-3 I’m guessing closer to 1 than 3. Not hurting my feelings.

Weather channel is saying about 7" here from this storm. I'll believe it when I see it. Was actually enjoying the mostly bare ground and that most of the 3" of ice was finally gone (I realize we need the snow for those pesky tourists and the local economy). Not concerned with this storm (powdery stuff) but not liking what I'm seeing forecasted for Tuesday into Wednesday. 8"-plus of snow Tuesday night transitioning to heavy rain and high winds on Wednesday. We still have roads being repaired from that last storm and don't need any more flooding.

Last night I saw a couple of other places that put me in 12-18" area. I'm not believing those guesses. Although Cloudboy does still show some isolated areas near me that show 12+", those are probably ridgetop areas.

I just went to search for The Weather Channel (I don't normally go there). I had my fingers incorrectly placed on my keyboard and typed gibberish. somehow Google figured out what I was looking for
