I figured I'd get an early start to the festivities here with a brief rewind of the year for FHC.... We had several happy and sad moments in the past year with our firewood family. Some great GTG's were had (Dennys, DuanePA's, and Hog Dayz here in PA to name a few) what a blast we had at them too! Folks, if ya haven't made it to one of our GTG's, please try to do so! You won't regret it! We had many instances where members stepped up to help other members as well as people in their own circles during times of crisis and need. To me, THAT is what really sets us apart from other places on the web. We also had sadness hit us as we lost some members here as well. Alot of us had met Jill (Chazsbetterhalf) in person and enjoyed that time with her. Please continue to keep Chaz and others in your prayers in the coming years. As most of you know, we consider our members extended family round these parts of the web, may God Bless you all and keep you all happy, healthy and safe in the coming new year of 2024. Our beloved friends @T Jeff Veal and his lovely wife Carol coming up from Georgia to spend the weekend with us during the 2023 Hog Dayz GTG. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed their company and truly hope to see them again soon! Breakfast at the legendary Tom and Joe's in Altoona with those.teo lovebirds! Friday Pizza Night at the Overkill Compound during Hog Dayz 2023 was a success....looking forward to the second one this June!! It'll be bigger and better this year, so mark yer calendars! Our beloved TurboDiesel (Tim) manning his amazing smoker grill at Hog Dayz 2023 for our chicken dinner and brenndatomu scoping it out....I must say Tim is a master at the job, it was phenomenal, and I can still smell that chicken grillin!!! And one of my favorite moments of that weekend was presenting Jeff and Carol with the traveling FHC sign to take back to Georgia with them. I can't think of a better couple to represent this place than those two!!

Happy new year everyone! I went hoarding this new year's day, and cut trees at my dad's place. I can't think of a better way to spend NYD (or any day)!
