30 out, 68 in. After starting with ash and cherry, burned the first hickory of this season and it was excellent!

30/72 ... Red oak/White oak only halfing the stove to try to keep a steady heat and not have to open windows... hopefully will continue to fall a few more degrees to stiffen the mud, so I can move more wood up to the house...

34°f this morning 68°f inside. It's been fairly warm so far this winter, but things will be changing this week with snow and much cooler highs during the day. Happy New Year everyone!

36* overnight heading for 47* today and partly sunny. Down close to freezing tonight. Burning Doug Fir and small chunks of Madrone. The birds are hammering the suet and seed and I counted over a dozen Robins in the yard. Don't know whether the Robins are hanging around because it is so mild or moving south ahead of much colder temps. A weeks time will tell!

37 and holding steady for a while here. I was burning oak, pine, Kentucky coffee tree and cherry earlier but let it go out more or less, as I have the oven going doing prep work for later this evening.

What a way to end 2023.

Probably upper 30's outside. Mid 70's in here and I'm about to hit 101 with chills.
Plenty to otherwise be grateful for, but hoping to wake up feeling better.

Got up to 30f here with a feel like 17f. Split honey locust for a couple of hours and brought a load to the house. If I don't get called in should be able to move it to the backyard tomorrow.

    Hope you get feeling better.

Burning some pignut and cherry in the Fireview. Damp and rainy outside.

Looks like it’s time for a new stovetop thermometer.
