I've been off work all week but the weather has been crappy (rain every day). Today the rain stopped and it snowed at times, but with temps in the mid 30's it was nice to get out and work. I cut up all the bur oak and cherry my buddy and I got last fall (from a craigslist post; homeowner was only two miles from my house).

Will probably do some splitting soon if the weather cooperates. Today was a good workout.

The split stuff stacked in the background is sugar maple that was cut down two years ago, cut up and split this summer.

Great question! That big one is going to be a bear. If I can't split it (with my splitter in vertical mode) I will put a newly sharpened chain (or new chain) on my saw and rip it into workable pieces.

    That bur oak is heavy!

Way to get it done Buck. Weather has been similar here all week and despite the wetness ive nibbled on S/S with some deliveries thrown in.
